Dear Ones,

Here is an early poem written just after my first experience of kundalini rising …

. . . . .

THE SERPENT YAWNED
A Poem by Alice B. Clagett
mid-1970s

Sounds dart like parakeets
in a large dark room.

.

The serpent yawned
his breath impaled the spine
The brain twitched
a gopher terrified
Heart raced the hurricane
frame shook . . . .

.

A stray cat viewed me strangely

.

The caterpillar shimmered
in the morning sun.
purple prickles, frozen form

. . . . .
