“Bereft”
A Poem Channeled by Alice B. Clagett Written and published on 29 March 2023; revised on 29 April 2023 and on 21 May 2023
In a world bereft of Light, find thou the Eternal flame!
Than life, than breath, than flying fleet of foot,
Than greeting nature’s child,
Than being wisdom bound;
Than knowing this from that,
Even than knowing thine own name,
Better by far this precept of thy gentle birth —
This banner that proclaims thy fathers’ fame:
Take thou the hero’s stance!
Guard thou the Eternal flame.

SKIT: WHALER STATION WATCHMAN by Alice B. Clagett 27 February 2023
I can imagine one lone whaler watchman wintering the long Arctic night at a whaling station up there in Greenland. The inlet is jammed with ice. There will be no help from the sea. Winds are whipping wildly about; a pilot would have to be crazy to try to land a small craft there.

Here is my poem “Mi Espero.” The poem is about the path we take to find God. It is similar to an ancient Hindu text I once read, and that I used to carry about with me …
