Dear Ones,

INTRODUCTION

Here is a little song and a prayer for young love and young motherhood. This is a lament happening over and over again in the United States today, as HIV-AIDS spreads deadly through the land.

The cameo is this: A young girl falls in love, and conceives a baby out of wedlock. As she is not yet an adult, and the parents feel that having a child would make it difficult for her to finish college, they force their daughter to abort.

In her anguish and confusion over the loss of her child, the young girl begins to date round her high school. After a pass or two, she become HIV-positive. The likelihood is that the next baby she conceives will be HIV-positive, and will pass on before puberty. Then as the young girl’s disease progresses, the serious problems posed to her by this incurable infection will make it inadvisable for her to conceive again.

Thus this one telling act of abortion forced upon the young girl by her parents seals their fate and ends their family line forever.

So it is happening, all over America today; the hope of the new generation fades and gutters. The Light of the candle dies.

What is there for us then, robbed as we are of our hopes for the future of our children? Let us look to the New we may find in every moment, in every breath, in every heart’s joyful instance. Let us find today what we may not find tomorrow. Let us be where we are with all our strength, with all our hearts and minds and longing.

What is the future but a ploy of the time-space construct in which our Soul learns its lessons? What is there truly, anywhere, but this our Infinite Awareness?
