Dear Ones,

Here are thoughts on my long-ago spiritual name, Dharm Darshan Kaur Khalsa. There is a Summary after the video …

VIDEO BY ALICE

SUMMARY OF THE VIDEO

Hello, Dear Ones, It’s Alice. I Am of the Stars.

I have some thoughts on my old spiritual name, that I used to go by, which was in an Indian dialect known as Gurmukhi [which means ‘the guru’s mouth]. The words were: Dharm Darshan Kaur Khalsa … And the words had these meanings (taking them one by one) …

The Gurmukhi Word Dharm

Dharm is an abbreviation for the word Dharma … which is the opposite of karma.

Although I usually do not go by that name anymore, I think about it a lot of times. And the first thing that I contemplate on is the word: Dharma. You know, it is an interesting concept, that right action in the world … dharma … action aligned with the will of God … be it ever so small … can cut the knots of karma, which are the unconscious ‘raveling up together’ of our electromagnetic fields.

Judicious, neutral-minded, compassionate, correct action in the world … dharma … be it ever so slight, can loose the knot of karma. A pretty interesting notion from Ancient India that is, is it not?

So the question is: How to arrive at that neutral mind? And how to arrive at that dispassionate compassion? … so as to wield the Sword of Dharma, to cut the Knot of Karma! [laughs]. That is the first word.

The Gurmukhi Word Darshan

The second word in my spiritual name is Darshan. And that word means ‘sitting at the feet of a spiritual teacher, and paying rapt attention … being completely devout to that spiritual teacher’.  And in the old days, I used to do that: I used to sit at the feet of a spiritual teacher, and absorb all the Soul knowledge and energy that I could, from that teacher. And in that way, my own Soul knowledge and my own energy were uplifted.

Up to a point, that works exceedingly well: To pay darshan … to sit in darshan with someone whose energy is very high.

And then there came a point, that I cannot quite pinpoint, in my life, when I began to align solely with the Heart and Mind and Will of God … directly with the Divine. And yet, because of my prior training, I still think of it as darshan. You know? I still think that I am raptly devoted to God.

So that is my path: My path is one of rapture and devotion.

The Gurmukhi Word Kaur

My third spiritual name, kaur. For the people of that particular learning path, at the time, all the women got the name kaur. And kaur means ‘princess’. And so, from that ‘middle name’ I got the notion that women have a right to be treated with great respect, as nurturing principles and mothers of all humankind … Teachers, uplifters, inspirers … Women have a great job to do on Earth.

All the men in that tradition, the American Sikh tradition, had the middle name singh. And that name meant ‘lion’. That meant the courage to protect the innocent and the meek. That is a pretty good name too, do you not think?

So … two names, one for the Divine Feminine: Princess! And one for the Divine Masculine: Lion … Great Courage!

The Gurmukhi Word Khalsa

And then, in that old tradition, the last name was khalsa. That word means ‘society of the pure ones’. And what does that word mean, to me? It means to me, to tread that path of chastity, purity of intention, what so few people even conceive … much less attempt to accomplish in their lifetime.

That is my thought for this lifetime: To be in the congregation of the holy, and in the society of the pure ones.

It is kind of funny, because, during the Ascension process … this clearing process that is taking place … I am encountering so much Dark energy … so much what you might call ‘impure’ energy. Peggy Black … https://www.peggyblack.com/ … says, from time to time … we are running into all these dark emotions. I figure, she says (and I paraphrase), it is only 5 percent me, and it is 95 percent lots of other people that are clearing. So she looks on it as a holy duty, to purify and uplift the world. And I agree. I appreciate that quality in Peggy Black, and I agree completely to it.

…….

God bless you all! Love you lots.

In love, light and joy,
I Am of the Stars

SUMMARY OF THE VIDEO

Dear Ones,

Story by Alice: My High School Latin Teacher

When I woke up this morning, suddenly popped into my mind a poem that I learned when I was young … I remember my Latin teacher in high school. I remember her very well, because she carried a little stick, or wand, with her. She would swish it through the air, when we said something that she did not like. And she would rap it on the desk, if she really did not like it. She always made me think: Maybe she’ll hit me too! … although that was probably against the school rules. [laughs]

One of the things she did, besides teaching us Latin, was to teach us this particular poem. She felt it was so important to us, that she made us memorize it, and then recite it, every time we came to class.

These days I do not totally remember it, but I do remember how important it is. It is a poem by William Wordsworth … a very short poem … and it is about how we can get caught up in the day to day … the everyday routine of our lives … and what we want to get, and what we want to have … and what we want to do. And how these activities … like mental activities … like kind of a cage we get ourselves into … can prevent us from seeing the immense beauty of the natural world.

I am not so good I can recite it by memory, so I am going to read it off the internet. Maybe you can read it in my eyeglasses too [laughs], because it is reflected there. It has some big words in it … for those of you that are younger. So here goes …

“The World Is Too Much With Us”
by William Wordsworth

“The world is too much with us; late and soon,
“Getting and spending, we lay waste our powers;—
“Little we see in Nature that is ours;
“We have given our hearts away, a sordid boon!
“This Sea that bares her bosom to the moon;
“The winds that will be howling at all hours,
“And are up-gathered now like sleeping flowers;
“For this, for everything, we are out of tune;
“It moves us not. Great God! I’d rather be
“A Pagan suckled in a creed outworn;
“So might I, standing on this pleasant lea,
“Have glimpses that would make me less forlorn;
“Have sight of Proteus rising from the sea;
“Or hear old Triton blow his wreathèd horn.”

. . . . .

I Am of the Stars

Zildjian Finger Cymbals for Clearing the Astral Air . by Alice B. Clagett

  • ZILDJIAN FINGER CYMBALS TO CLEAR THE ASTRAL AIR
  • STORIES BY ALICE: HIGH HOPES OF CRACKING A KOAN AT 16 YEARS OF AGE

Dear Ones,

ZILDJIAN FINGER CYMBALS TO CLEAR THE ASTRAL AIR

Zildjian Finger Cymbals (the thick ones) are good for clearing the astral air …

Link: Zildjian Finger Cymbals (thick), on www.amazon.com … Search the term: Zildjian Thick Finger Cymbals

They are also good for clearing personal space … like a meditation space or bedroom. They are portable, small and lightweight, and inexpensive. Can be used for travel to clear a motel room, or in nature to attract nice nature spirits.

One way to use them is to strike the thin side of one cymbal against the flat side of another cymbal, either once or a number of times, then wait till a few seconds after you cease to hear the reverberation or ‘flutter’ of the sound in the air, after the sound itself ends.

STORIES BY ALICE: HIGH HOPES OF CRACKING A KOAN AT 16 YEARS OF AGE

That ‘flutter’ sound in the air after the clap of finger cymbals reminds me of a time long ago: I was 16 years of age, and I went to visit some friends of the family … a man and wife living in an upscale sector of Washington, DC. On a coffee table was a thin book of Zen. I had never heard of Zen before. As I was thumbing through it, the wife kindly offered it to me as a gift.

Being 16 and full of high hopes and expectations, I looked through the koans in the book, with a yen to crack one. I settled on this koan …

What is the sound of one hand clapping?

Baffled, I thought about it night and day. The more confused I got, the more determined I felt. It seemed like an eternity went by. Finally one evening, in a state of utmost mental frustration, I walked out into the night air, and looked up into the night sky. There I found my answer …

What is the sound of one hand clapping?
It is the New Moon in the arms of the Old.

Many years later, when I got my set of Zildjian finger cymbals, I found yet another answer …

What is the sound of one hand clapping?
It is the Sound when there is No Sound, after the last Sound has ended.

In love, light and joy,
I Am of the Stars

My Father’s Father . by Alice B. Clagett

Compiled and published on 26 January 2020

Dear Ones,

Here is a photo (left) of my grandfather Royden Douglas Clagett, who passed on before I was born, and (right) of me at about 8 years of age. All my youth I wished I had known my father’s father, who had spent summers with my grandmother, my father, and my father’s six brothers on the farm across the road from my rural family home …

I straightened out the photos for the composite photo. In the original, his head was bent a little to the left, and mine was bent a little to the right. From his photo, it looks to me as if he may have raised his right eyebrow a little more than the left eyebrow; while I raise the left a little more than the right.

There is something about our eyes and way of feeling in these two photos that strikes me as similar; I cannot quite peg it.

Although my grandfather and I never met, I feel a Soul kinship with him even today.

I have had several visions in which it seemed to me that I was my grandfather in an incarnation before this current one, after my incarnation as a little girl who passed on in a German concentration camp. In those startling visions, it was as if I were experiencing his male incarnation as my own. You can read about them here …

Reuniting Soul Fragments . stories by Alice B. Clagett

  • A GOOD TIME TO CALL IN OUR SOUL FRAGMENTS
  • ALICE’S STORY ABOUT HER GRANDMOTHER (HER FATHER’S MOTHER)

Dear Ones,

A GOOD TIME TO CALL IN OUR SOUL FRAGMENTS

I have been thinking, this is a good time to be calling in our Soul fragments so that they can reunite themselves with us. After all, they are just waiting for a chance to find their way back to us, no matter where they are right now. After all, I am thinking, unity consciousness begins at home, right here in my own physical body! …

I was put in mind of this passage from Jean Auel’s “Plains of Passage” …

Link: “The Plains of Passage: Earth’s Children, Book Four,” by Jean M. Auel …  https://books.google.com/books?id=08qPf0Y3zeYC&pg=PA116&dq=%22It+wouldn%27t+be+easy+to+find+someone+else+to+love%22&hl=en&newbks=1&newbks_redir=0&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwiOmaye1M7oAhUD7qwKHQW2BIQQ6AEwAHoECAAQAg#v=onepage&q=%22It%20wouldn’t%20be%20easy%20to%20find%20someone%20else%20to%20love%22&f=false … from the paragraph beginning “‘It wouldn’t be …'” through the first two lines on the next page, ending “… loved ones are.'”

In the passage, Ayla and Jondalar ruminate about how, when we love people, it feels like we exchange pieces of our Spirit with pieces of theirs. Then when someone we love passes on, this might account for the hurt we feel …

Maybe they take a piece of our Spirit with them, on to the afterlife … to the fourth dimension.

Then Ayla speculates that when a person is very old, many of their friends may have passed on, taking the parts of the person’s Spirit with them. So many parts of them are with their friends in the afterlife, she feels, that they may wish to go be with their friends there.

ALICE’S STORY ABOUT HER GRANDMOTHER (HER FATHER’S MOTHER)

I was put in mind of my father’s mother, my very good friend and grandmother, who, when I was a little girl, used to say: All of my friends are gone … Everyone I ever knew has passed on.

I remember the look on her face when she said that; a faraway look, as if she were looking into a window, through which only she could see. As if she saw her friends having tea, or maybe plowing a field, there on the other side.

I was filled with longing to keep her there there with me … guardian angels all around us …, lilac blooming by the porch beneath her bedroom window. And with a certain knowledge that, in her longing, she might soon be gone from my life forever.

And so it came to be.

In love, light and joy,
I Am of the Stars

SUMMARY OF THE VIDEO

Barnacles and Hearts
A Story by Alice B. Clagett
Soundtrack and Words
16 July 2013

I was walking on the beach with a group today, and we found the top part of a lobster shell, with two barnacles on it. It was at the tide line. The barnacles were alive, but the lobster had passed on quite some time ago. The tide had washed them up to the shore. We threw them back in the water, but their eventual fate seemed inevitable.

When the lobster was alive, these very barnacles must have seen the maritime world from the back of the lobster, and gotten plenty to eat as well. Yet today, now that the lobster has died, this is probably the last day that they’ll be alive … because they’re attached so firmly to the back of the lobster…

It is a little like life. We may find something, during our lives, that is a very good vehicle for our spiritual growth or for our personal growth, for a long time … such as a relationship to an organization or to a person. And we may become very attached to that wonderful experience we are having.

But it is important, in life, to take stock every once in a while, and try and find out whether the things that once served us so well, are good for our hearts at this stage in our development. Things change. And we don’t want to find ourselves glued to something that was once great, but might not be so good for us any more. We want to be able to get up and find something else when the time comes.

In love, light and joy,
I Am of the Stars

Kriya to Unite the Gut Brain with the Heart . by Alice B. Clagett

Filmed on 27 January 2020; published on 5 August 2020.

Dear Ones,

Here is a kriya to unite the aura. There is an edited Summary after the video …

VIDEO BY ALICE

SUMMARY OF THE VIDEO

Hello, Dear Ones, It’s Alice. I Am of the Stars.

WHAT IT WILL DO FOR YOU

This is a technique to use to bring the energy of the gut brain up to the heart chakra; to bring the energy of the lower triangle up to the heart chakra. Use it standing up. Your feeling is that you are uniting your energy field and your aura with this technique.

HOW TO DO IT

The hands are in fists, proximal interphalangeal joints (PIP joints … the finger joints nearest the knuckles) nearly touching. Slowly, with isometric tension, they are drawn up the torso, from the level of the lower abdomen to heart level, as this phrase is spoken: Yes, I do love you!

It is said with a certain amount of determination and willpower. It goes like this …

Yes!

Image: “Kriya to Unite the Gut Brain with the Heart 1,” self-portrait by Alice B. Clagett, 27 January 2020, CC BY-SA 4.0 … DESCRIPTION: Person is standing. The hands are in fists, proximal interphalangeal joints (PIP joints … the finger joints nearest the knuckles) nearly touching, at the level of the lower abdomen.

The hands are in fists, proximal interphalangeal joints (PIP joints … the finger joints nearest the knuckles) nearly touching, at the level of the heart.

I will do it again: Yes, I do love you!

The feeling in the heart is neutral heart energy in the center of the heart, the center of the chest, the hidden hridaya.
