Dear God,
For all those who have been killed in battle,
And for all those who have participated in battle —
Both civilian and noncivilian people —
I beg respite for their Souls and for their heart,
And recovery from the trauma of war.

Whether they killed,
Whether they were killed,
Or whether they only were troubled
By the scenes of the battlefield,
I beg your help in their recovery.

May there be no more wars on Earth.
May there be no more battles —
Whether on the battlefield,
Or on the streets of the cities,
Or in the fields of the countries,
Or, unseen by all, in private homes.

Let there be no more battles
Anywhere on Earth.

And be with you
Through all your days.
